Water is becoming an increasingly scarce and precious commodity in Australia, with changes in living patterns and climate uncertainty and legislation leading to improved demand management and the efficient use of water by the end user. Add to this the steadily rising cost of water, the effect that water use can have on energy use and carbon footprints and the political sensitivity in areas of low storage – water efficiency is moving from a hot topic to an important management component for any business.
Water efficiency auditing is an integral component to determining how water is being used and lost, and provides solutions on how to use water more efficiently. The outcome of a comprehensive water audit typically provides a ‘win-win’ result, major cost savings and utilising previously wasted water resources.
BMT WBM offers a multidisciplinary team with skills in water efficiency auditing and demand management strategies gained through from undertaking more than 100 water audits of commercial sites, providing industry training in demand management, and conducting industry leading research into new water use areas.
Our qualified staff have been involved with numerous projects which have resulted in a reduction in water use by an average of 40%.
