New BMT WBM Managing Director

BMT WBM is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony McAlister as Managing Director. Tony takes over the role from Dr Russ Morrison who stepped down from this position on the 1st October 2009.
Russ, one of three founding partners of WBM in 1968, has led the company with great distinction and will continue his association with the company in the position of Principal Machinery Engineer.
Tony, previously a Director of the company and Water and Environment Group Manager, joined WBM in 1987. He took a one year leave of absence in 1992 to work at HR Wallingford in the UK and returned to the company in 1993 where he has worked ever since. In that time, he has been actively involved in hydraulic, water quality and environmental management studies within Australia, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and South East Asia.
At a recent event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the company, Tony spoke about the strong future he saw for BMT WBM. He shared his excitement on the opportunities that lie ahead, and acknowledged the "creative, can-do attitude amongst staff", which he believes will make these opportunities happen.
He went on to comment: "We have a number of exciting products being developed and ready to go to market and we are also extending our global reach with major new projects in Indonesia and India. We have a very adaptable, flexible and diverse business model which I believe, going forward, will be our strength."
